Vista and Departures Added to Ranked Play

Maps Vista and Departures will be added to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3’s Ranked Play map pool starting March 25, 2024 following Major II finals. Dev’s report that these maps will be added to test them for competitive gameplay from March 25th – March 29th. By then, we should have more information on which maps and modes will be staying in the Ranked Play game mode.

What we know so far

Activision Dev’s report that at this time these maps are not planned to replace any of the existing map pool. However, they are looking for feedback from both the Pro and Casual community. After viewing many community posts, we are hearing many suggestions from players requesting that Terminal S&D and Invasion Hardpoint be removed from the Ranked Play map pool.

What the pro’s are saying

As of now, we don’t have a lot of input from pro players with Major II still in the works. We will likely see more suggestions from pro players as day 4 concludes.

What the community says

Several unconfirmed leaks state that Vista will likely be played as a Hardpoint and Control map and Departures will be played strictly as a S&D. Again, this is all unconfirmed.
