6 Star and Vista Maps Added to Call of Duty MW3 Ranked Play game modes
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 maps: 6 Star and Vista to be added to the Ranked Play Game modes following the Pros voting it into the CDL map pool… So far, we are hearing some good things and bad things about the choices.
Map Additions and Removals
Of course it goes without saying bringing these maps in was a strategic move that was done by design to replace some of the existing, more undesirable maps by pros. Here’s what we know so far:
- Vista Hardpoint with be replacing Invasion Hardpoint
- 6 Star Hardpoint with be replacing Skidrow Hardpoint
- 6 Star Search and Destroy will be replacing Terminal Search and Destroy
Fans are not pleased
Though many alike praise the developers for the removal of Invasion HP and Terminal S&D, casuals don’t seem to be very happy with the removal of Skidrow HP. As this was a fan favorite for many. Will Skidrow Hardpoint ever make it’s way back into Ranked Play? Only time will tell, but we aren’t exactly expecting to see this happen due to some of the unbreakable “God Hills” such as P2.
Even on a pro level, fans enjoyed watching the mixyness of Skidrow Hardpoint. Seeing a team 100 points behind their opponent come back and win the game was quite a sight to see!
Luckily, most seem to be absolutely thrilled with the addition of 6 Star to Ranked Play and the CDL map pool. This map has played well in both Hardpoint and Search and Destroy in pro and casual 8’s lobby’s. We have added both 6 Star and Vista to our Discord 8’s Queue for players to learn the map beforehand and keep a sweaty advantage over their future Ranked Play opponents… So be sure to join our Discord Server and queue up!
Questions arise about the Infamous 6 Star P5 Water Hill
Pros didn’t have much to complain about with the 6 Star map addition, except for ONE BIG THING. What else could it be, aside from the P5 water hill from hell? We have heard rumors of Devs in the works of changing the P5 hill and saving many of us from drowning in our own tears… But how long will that take? With Major 3 Qualifiers right around the corner, one can only assume one of two things: 1.) Pros will veto the map until the water hill is removed. 2.) The map will not make it into CDL rotation until the map is removed. I guess we will have to simply stick around and find out!
